FETAC Music Technology Level 5

Analyze how changes in music techonology have affected society, and how the internet has in turn affected music technology. Produce MIDI and audio recordings including the use of MIDI editing features such as quantisation. Understand the process of digital recording including setting levels correctly, headroom and basic editing. Make use of studio processors and effects units, the mixing console and microphones. Decide on which file formats to use based on the intended use of the recording. Demonstrate the mixing provess to produce master recordings.

There is also a project to be done aswell the project should result in the production of a multi-song compact disc, each student must provide a finished master recording for inclusion on a compact disc.
